Dragomirna Monastery

Nestled among the gentle hills of Bukovina, 12 km north of the former residence of Stephen the Great and Saint and the metropolitans of Moldavia, the Dragomirna monastery rises like a tree in time, between the fortress walls. Built as if to face the heights, in search of more light near the forests, shaded by a curtain of fir trees and majestically reflected in the water of the nearby lake, this place of worship, through its antiquity, through the originality of the style, through the elegance and solidity of the form, through the picturesqueness, awakens the admiration of every visitor, so that in front of it the devout worshipper is just as impressed as the historian and the man of art.
